Open Season

The purpose of this blog is nothing more than analysis of the more modern social dynamics that have arisen since the birth of the internet.

The internet has allowed for robust and decrepit social structure formations despite previous limitations of geographical areas.  People are meeting and creating relationships in new ways that previously may not have existed, or currently are being studied by seemingly distant observers that have never directly experienced said dynamics.

That is not to say that the current observations are incorrect or malformed, but seem more concerned in researching how social collectives exist without taking into account how the social collectives require different forms of social investment.

For instance, the study of memetics is a relatively old study within linguistics and group psychology, previously concerned with how words traveled along trade routes and war routes throughout history.  The field has been rejuvenated by modern online cultures with the construction and use of memes.  The studies seem to focus on how they construct a shared reality, yet seem to ignore the truncation of said constructs.  They focus on how groups are using the binding mechanics of memetics without seeming to observe or take into account the disuse of memetics by some.  Many in online circuits of social collectives place a seeming embargo on the use of memes.  As to the reason for that embargo, that is hopefully one of the many topics this blog will investigate.

What is deleted by said memetics?
What is truncated from previous social constructs, and how is this gap in real life presence filled?
What is the emotional and reasoning effect upon individuals that participate in these new forms?
What kind of previous deviate behavior can be masked, hidden, or exaggerate by existing within these constructs?
What is a simulacrum in terms of personality (if any)?
How are simulacra of self constructed in comparison to previous self delusion?

These are the types of question I hope to ask, as to the validity of the answers; some may point to arm chair philosophy/psychology/etc from a seemingly untrained vagabond.

I would hope that those fears can be dispelled with observational examples and direct experience, to be imparted upon the reader.
